In fact, ZTE has exposed to release several quad-core Android phones based on MTK6589. However, the ZTE V987 was not in the list. Maybe ZTE wants to give us a surprise. However, this is not the only surprise. The largest highlight that ZTE can bring us should be the appearance design of the ZTE V987. The first time I saw ZTE V987, I regarded it as the ZTE Grand S. It means that ZTE V987 has the similar appearance with ZTE Grand S, so we call it as the cheaper version of ZTE Grand S.
ZTE V987 is equipped with a 5.0-inch HD touch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels. It may be not good as the 1080P screen on ZTE Grand S, but I think it must be enough for most of users. And on the backside, there is also a special area for the camera and LED flashlight, and the camera resolution can reach at 8.0MP, not the 13.0MP on ZTE Grand S.
